How do I launch and share a study?
Click Launch at the top of the study page to freeze the current version and open its launch page. Copy the respondent link from there and manage the run under Launches.
Before you launch
Section titled “Before you launch”Preview the complete study. Fix required fields, placeholder assets, broken links, and unintended screening paths before continuing.
Launch the study
Section titled “Launch the study”Three steps sit across the top of the study page: Build, Test with AI, and Launch. They show how far the study has got, and you can click any of them at any time. You do not have to work through them in order.
Click Launch when you are ready. When launching is your next move, the same Launch also sits on the card that explains what launching does. Either one works.
Fiuto asks you to confirm, then freezes the current version and opens its launch page.
Later edits remain in the draft. They do not change an existing launch. To put an updated version in front of respondents, launch the study again.
Confirm before the study goes live
Section titled “Confirm before the study goes live”A launch goes live straight away, so Fiuto checks with you first. Launch this study? tells you respondents can start taking it right away. Click Launch to go ahead, or Cancel to stay in the study.
If the study has not been through an AI test, Fiuto asks Launch without testing? instead. Launch anyway sends the study to real respondents. Test first starts an AI test, where AI testers go through the whole study and tell you where they got stuck.
If Test with AI is greyed out, AI testing is not available yet, and Fiuto asks the plain Launch this study? question instead.
Fix launch blockers
Section titled “Fix launch blockers”When a block still needs attention, Launch is greyed out and cannot be clicked. A line on the card says how many things are left, for example 2 things to fix before launch. Click that line to open the checklist.
Each item names its block and the exact issue, for example a placeholder URL or an intake field with no label.
Select an item’s button, such as Replace URL or Add label, to close the checklist and jump to that block. Fix the issue there. Launch works again once nothing is left to fix.
Launch and response limits
Section titled “Launch and response limits”Your plan sets the number of launches you can create each calendar month and the responses each launch can collect. Every successful launch counts immediately.

Choosing roles for synthetic testers
Section titled “Choosing roles for synthetic testers”Each synthetic tester needs a role. It is the perspective the tester brings to your study. Their context stays separate, so you can add the detail that matters without turning the role into a full description.
- Open the study and click Synth test.
- In Who will test your study, select Role on a tester card.
- Search for a standard role. Roles based on your product audience appear first, followed by a wider list.
- Select the role you want.
- To make a more specific role, type it in full. For example, type
Founder at a small startup. - Select Use “Founder at a small startup” to keep that exact role.
You can choose a role outside your audience when you want an outside perspective. New or edited roles are required and must use 60 characters or fewer.
Fiuto saves each role as part of your tester set. When you start a synth test, the roles used for that run are frozen with it.
How roles shape a synthetic test
Section titled “How roles shape a synthetic test”A tester’s role shapes how familiar it is with the subject area. That familiarity can affect how closely it reads the study and the perspective it uses to frame an answer.
Use a mixed roster when you want to compare interpretations. Testers from inside and outside your audience can notice different things or explain the same screen differently.
Treat a synth test as a qualitative rehearsal. It can help you find questions to investigate, but it does not prove what real people will do. A synthetic tester may infer, misunderstand, or bring its role into the answer, so read the response as a perspective to inspect, not a truth-checked claim. Validate important decisions with real respondents.
Share the respondent link
Section titled “Share the respondent link”Open Launches, choose the launch, and copy its respondent link. Anyone with the link can take the study without a Fiuto account.
Every respondent study includes Made with Fiuto branding, on every plan.
Manage collection
Section titled “Manage collection”Use the launch page to manage the run:
- Pause blocks new respondents from starting. Resume when you want collection to continue.
- Stop ends collection for that launch. Responses already collected remain available.
- Delete permanently removes the launch and its responses. Fiuto cannot recover them for you.
These actions affect the launch, not the editable study draft.
Read responses
Section titled “Read responses”Open the launch under Launches. Response totals and per-block result cards appear on the same page. Reload it to fetch new responses.
